Attack on the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran

The Brazilian government has received with concern the news of the armed attack that took place today at the premises of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Teheran, which resulted in the death of an official of that mission.

Brazil recalls, under international law, the principle of inviolability of diplomatic missions and the imperative of protection of their premises.

The Brazilian Government expresses its solidarity to the Azerbaijani Government and people, as well as to the families of the victims.
