Attack in Burkina Faso

The Brazilian government was deeply saddened to learn of the terrorist attack that took place in Burkina Faso on Saturday, August 24, in the town of Barsalogho, approximately 150km from the capital, Ouagadougou, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries.

Brazil expresses its condolences to the families of the victims and its wishes a swift recovery to the injured. Brazil also expresses its solidarity with the Burkinabè people and authorities and reaffirms its firm rejection of any and all acts of terrorism.
