The Brazilian Government appointed Ambassador Glivânia Maria de Oliveira to head the delegation that will represent Brazil as guarantor country at the Roundtable of Peace Dialogue between the Government of Colombia and the National Liberation Army (ELN), whose second cycle of meetings began on February 13, in Mexico City.
Current Director of Rio Branco Institute, the Ambassador has wide experience in international peace and security issues, having headed the Disarmament and Sensitive Technologies Division, the United Nations Division, and the International Organizations Department. In recent years, she served as Chief of Staff of the Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs, Consul-General in Boston, and Ambassador to Panama.
With this designation, Brazil joins Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Norway and Venezuela as guarantor country of the Peace Dialogues.
