Agrément granted to the Ambassador of Brazil to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam
The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam has granted its agrément to the appointment of Fernando Apparicio da Silva as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to that country. According to the Brazilian constitution, the appointment must still be confirmed by the Federal Senate.
Fernando Apparicio da Silva joined the Brazilian Foreign Service in 1986. He has been posted to the embassies of Brazil in Paris and Moscow and to the Permanent Delegation of Brazil in Geneva. In Brazil, he has served at the United Nations Division, the Department for International Organizations, the General Secretariat for Foreign Affairs, the Undersecretariat General for Political Affairs II and the Undersecretariat General for Political Affairs III. Ambassador Apparicio da Silva also worked at the Secretary for Strategic Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic and has been the Ambassador of Brazil to the Republic of Guinea-Bissau since 2014.
