"Agrément" granted to the ambassador of Brazil to the Republic of Korea
The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government the Republic of Korea has granted its agrément to the appointment of Luís Henrique Sobreira Lopes as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to that country. According to the Brazilian constitution, the appointment must still be confirmed by the Federal Senate.
Luís Henrique Sobreira Lopes joined the Brazilian Foreign Service in 1980. He has served at the embassies of Brazil in London, Ottawa, Washington, Montevideo, La Paz, Rome and at the Brazilian Mission to the European Union. In Brazil, he has held the positions of general coordinator of Protocol, deputy director-general and general coordinator of teaching of the Brazilian diplomatic academy - Instituto Rio Branco -, special advisor of the General Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, general coordinator of the Working Group on Events Planning and director of the Department of Africa.
