"Agrément" granted to the Ambassador of Brazil to Suriname
The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government of the Republic of Suriname has granted its agrément to the appointment of Laudemar Gonçalves de Aguiar Neto as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to that country. According to the Brazilian constitution, the appointment must still be confirmed by the Federal Senate.
Laudemar Gonçalves de Aguiar Neto has served as Minister Counselor at the Embassies of Brazil in London and Paris. In Brazil, he has worked at the Department for International Organizations and at the Undersecretariat General for Multilateral Affairs. He has also held the positions of National Secretary for the organization of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio +20) and of International Relations Coordinator of the Office of the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro.
