Agrément granted to Ambassador-designate of Brazil to the Holy See

The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Secretariat of State of His Holiness has granted its agrément to the appointment of Ambassador Everton Vieira Vargas as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to the Holy See.

Currently, Ambassador Vargas holds the position of Coordinator of International Relations of the State of Pará. His previous diplomatic posts were Ambassador in the Mission of Brazil to the European Union (2016-2018), in Argentina (2013-2016) and in Germany (2009-2013).

According to the Constitution, this designation will be submitted to the Federal Senate for consideration.
