Agrément granted to Ambassador-designate of Brazil in the Netherlands

The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform that the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has granted its agrément to the appointment of Ambassador Fernando Simas Magalhães as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil.

Ambassador Fernando Simas Magalhães served as Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs (2021-2022), Permanent Representative of Brazil to the Organization of American States (2018-2021), Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs-I (2015-2016), Under-Secretary-General for Multilateral Political Affairs, Europe and North America (2016-2018) and Ambassador of Brazil to Ecuador (2010-2015).

According to the Constitution, this designation will be submitted to the Federal Senate for consideration.
