Weekly Program - September 12 to 16
Getting to Know the Cerrado’s Biodiversity
To celebrate Cerrado Day (September 11), the Environmental Education Service is offering special programming throughout September dedicated to this Brazilian biome. The activity presents, in a playful way, its characteristics, plants, animals, and curiosities, sparking children’s interest in the diversity found in this biome. After a brief introduction, participants will be invited to take part in an interactive game with questions and challenges about the biome.
The program also includes a painting workshop using paints made from Cerrado soils, where children can explore different natural shades and create their own paintings. The activity aims to combine knowledge and environmental awareness, encouraging children’s interest in preserving and valuing biodiversity.
Designed for school groups and children and teenagers aged 4 to 15, the activity takes place by appointment, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
