Friday Guided Walks – Noble Trees Trail

Fridays, August 7, 14, 21, and 28 | 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Meeting Point: Visitor Center – 1008 Jardim Botânico Street

The route features 27 noble tree species from the arboretum, mainly from the Atlantic Forest and Amazonian forests, including Brazilwood, kapok, mahogany, and others. The term “noble trees” refers to the ecological, economic, and landscape importance of these species.

This activity counts toward the monthly stamp for the Trailblazer journey in the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Visitor Passport.

Sunday at the Garden

Musical performance “Vilas, Sambas and Songs,” featuring singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist Ricardo Vilas and guitarist, songwriter, and arranger Domingos (Bilinho) Teixeira. The repertoire includes compositions by Ricardo Vilas and Brazilian popular music classics such as “Aquele Abraço” (Gilberto Gil) and “Meu Caro Amigo” (Chico Buarque and Francis Hime).

Sunday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m., in the area in front of the Dom João Bust.

Arboretum admission is required.

This activity counts toward the monthly stamp for the Arboretum Legend journey in the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Visitor Passport.

Visitors residing in Brazil: R$40.00 (full admission) and R$20.00 (half-price admission)

International visitors: R$80.00

Children up to 5 years old receive free admission. Brazilian residents aged 60 and over, people with disabilities, students, and other eligible groups are entitled to half-price admission and pay R$20.00.
