Trio Samburá's pé-de-serra show on Sunday in the Garden
June repertoire on Sunday in the Garden - Credit: JBRJ
Domingo no Jardim gets into the mood for São João and presents Trio Samburá with classics from the June repertoire. Formed by Léo Cortez (zabumba and vocals), Tâmara Terra (triangle and vocals) and Robertinho Kauffmann (accordion and vocals), the trio promises a lively pé-de-serra show this Sunday, June 22. The public is invited to sing and dance along to Asa Branca (Luiz Gonzaga/Humberto Teixeira), Espumas ao Vento (Accioly Neto), Festa no Interior (Moraes Moreira and Abel Silva), Eu Só Quero um Xodó (Dominguinhos and Anastácia), Frevo mulher (Zé Ramalho) and many more.
Created in 2016, Samburá has been promoting forró dances ever since, especially in Rio's Lapa neighborhood. In 2022, the trio released their first album, Forró a Lenha, with their own compositions and those of partners such as Marcelo Neder, Maísa Arantes and Carol Panesi.
The performance is free and starts at 11am, in front of the bust of Dom João. In the event of rain, it will be moved to the Galpão das Artes.
