Son Lemos Quartet is the attraction at Domingo no Jardim
On June 8, Sunday in the Garden presents the Son Lemos Quartet. The group is made up of mandolinist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Son Lemos, Guinter Vieira on cavaco, Gabriel Veras on 7-string guitar and Kaká Nomura on pandeiro. The show will feature the special participation of musician Dado Villa-Lobos, known for his work as guitarist in the band Legião Urbana. The repertoire will include classics of choro and Brazilian popular music, as well as compositions by Son Lemos.
Kaká Nomura consolidated his career in Japan between 2001 and 2011 as a singer and instrumentalist. Back in Brazil, he has performed in theatrical musicals, concerts, samba and choro circles. Gabriel Veras has been performing professionally since 2018 and has performed at venues such as Teatro Rival, Casa do Choro, Parque das Ruínas, among others. Guinter Vieira has accompanied artists such as Arlindo Cruz, Monarco, Tantinho da Mangueira and others.
The performance will take place at 11am, in front of the bust of Dom João, and is free of charge. Visitors only pay the entrance fee to the arboretum. In the event of rain, it will be transferred to the Galpão das Artes.
