Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden open for Carnival

The Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden will be open to visitors during Carnival. It will be open from 8am to 5pm, including Ash Wednesday. During the Carnival parades in the neighborhood, however, the gates will be temporarily closed and reopened as soon as traffic is normalized. During this period, visitors will leave through the gate located at Rua Major Rubens Vaz, 122, Gávea.

Casa Pacheco Leão will be open on Sunday 16 February, exceptionally from 12pm to 5pm.

The Botanical Garden Museum and Casa Pacheco Leão will be closed on Ash Wednesday. 

From this Sunday, February 16, the Sunday in the Garden musical program will be temporarily suspended.
