Official Announcement: Food Venues at JBRJ

The Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Research Institute announces that the Green Garden restaurant will cease operations at the Cultural Hall on May 26, 2026. This closure complies with current legal guidelines, as the concession contract has reached its maximum permitted term of 60 months.

To ensure quality service and the well-being of visitors, the JBRJ has already taken the following steps:

-Bidding Process: The call for bids to select new commercial partners will be published shortly.

-Reopening of the Spaces: The administration is working to ensure that this location, as well as the Garden’s other two dining areas, reopens as soon as possible.
