New episode of Chatting with InPol features an interview with Onildo Marini on the National Action Plan for Pollinating Insects
Environmental analyst Onildo Marini, from ICMBio, is the guest on the latest episode of Bate-Papo INPol. The conversation delves into the behind-the-scenes process of developing the National Action Plan (PAN) for Pollinating Insects—which he coordinates—the challenges of coordinating efforts across different sectors, and the plan’s strategic role in the context of biodiversity conservation in Brazil.
Onildo explains how the PAN connects research and environmental management to address threats to pollinators and strengthen coordinated conservation actions at different scales. The conversation also covers new predictive models, the possibilities of including other species in the plan, and coordination with public agricultural policies.
