Instrumental music and Papa Vento on Sunday in the Garden

The instrumental music of the duo Nin & Hermolin is the attraction at Domingo no Jardim on the first of September. Formed by musicians Fábio Nin and Guilherme Hermolin, the duo is the result of a long artistic career, on stages and in studios, resulting in different strands, from choro to bossa nova, from jazz with a Brazilian accent to frevo. The repertoire includes works by Hermeto Paschoal, Egberto Gismonti, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea and others.

The performance is free, in front of the bust of Dom João, at 11 a.m. Visitors only pay the entrance ticket to the arboretum. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to the Galpão das Artes.

This Sunday (1 September), there's also fun for the kids in the playground. The Papa Vento puppet theater group will be performing “Our Forest”. It's the story of an evil hunter who threatens a beautiful forest, and the animals, united, discover that they can defeat him. The performance takes place at 10 a.m. and is free of charge. Visitors only pay for admission to the arboretum.
