Botânica Pop #4 presents the National School of Tropical Botany
Botânica Pop magazine number 4 is now available online. In this edition, the publication presents the National School of Tropical Botany (ENBT) of the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden, a teaching unit of the JBRJ, based in the beautiful Solar da Imperatriz.
Researcher Ariane Luna Peixoto opens the edition with an article about how the ENBT was created 22 years ago through the efforts of the Botanical Garden's then managers and staff. ENBT's current director, Marinez Ferreira de Siqueira, gives an overview of the results the school has achieved in its 22 years of existence.
Former and current students from the master's and doctorate courses also give their testimonies about the importance of ENBT in their careers. The edition also features a special report on ENBT's Botanical Illustration courses, with interviews with professors Paulo Ormindo and Malena Barretto, as well as testimonials and illustrations from former students - including Gabriella Saab, author of the cover art.
