Almir Côrtes invites Giuliano Eriston on Sunday in the Garden

The star of the strings Almir Côrtes (mandolin/guitar) and the winner of the 10th edition of The Voice Brasil, Giuliano Eriston (voice and guitar), are the attraction of the Domingo no Jardim series on April 14. The instrumental repertoire is full of Brazilian rhythms - baião, samba de roda (chula), choro, ijexá and frevo, as well as original works and arrangements of songs by Gilberto Gil, Guinga, Os Tincoãs and Jacob do Bandolim, among others, with plenty of room for improvisation.

Almir Côrtes, from Recôncavo, Bahia, has been working for over 20 years on popular genres of Brazilian music. He has released six albums and has performed throughout Brazil and in Europe, Cuba, Argentina, Chile and the United States. He has shared the stage with artists such as Guinga, Roberto Mendes, Nailor Proveta, Armandinho Macêdo, Daniela Spielmann, Anat Cohen, Mike Marshall, David Grisman and Howard Alden.

The 26-year-old singer, guitarist, composer and arranger Giuliano Eriston, from Ceará, is an artist whose essence was formed through Brazilian music, and his playing has been widely praised by big names on the national scene. As well as being a performer, in 2022 he released his first album, entitled "Universo em si", with 14 songs, including partnerships with Ronaldo Bastos and Dirceu Leite.

The duo will perform at 11 a.m., in front of the bust of D. João VI, in the arboretum of Rio de Janeiro's Botanical Garden. In the event of rain, the show will be moved to Galpão das Artes.
