CADE implements new Digital Transformation Plan
The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) implemented the Digital Transformation Plan (PTD) for 2025-2026. The document prepared along with the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) establishes guidelines to modernise the public services offered to society through digital technology, aligned with the “National Digital Government Strategy”.
The document is organised in 4 sections: digital services and quality improvement; digital channel integration; governance and data management; and information security and privacy. The plan foresees the digitalisation of services such as certificate issuances; interim filing; and merger notification with e-Notifica.
Some actions established in the plan are the VLIBRAS deployment in all digital services, the integration between the Login Único (the gov.br account is an amalgamation of other existing authentication tools) and PagTesouro (the National Treasury of Brazil payment tool), the service descriptions on the gov.br portal, and the launch of the Design System gov.br on CADE digital channels. Moreover, the authority foresees the provision of the application programme interfaces (API) and strategic databases, such as those related to mergers and acquisitions, as well as cease and desist agreements.
Regarding information security, the plan comprises the execution of ongoing cycles of the Brazilian Information Privacy and Security Programme, enhancing the institutional maturity in the topic.
Ms Bruna Cardoso, Head of the Management Office (DAP/CADE), claims that the initiative promotes the authority’s cooperative actions and the efficiency and transparency of Brazilian government bodies. “CADE has stood out for innovative solutions in consumer-centred services, with significant gains in speed, accessibility, and security. Through this plan, we reaffirm our commitment to the Government’s digital transformation, focused on the citizens, simplification, and continuous improvement of public services”, she claimed.
The document in force until December 2026 will be monitored every two months, and may be adjusted, as appropriate. The Department of Information Technology (CGTI) coordinates the plan, with the involvement of different technical departments of CADE.
