Lílian Santos Marques Severino

Lílian Marques is a former Head of the Advisory Unit, former Coordinator-General of Antitrust Analysis at the Office of the Superintendent General, and former Assistant Chief Economist of the Department of Economic Studies, at CADE. Mrs. Marques holds a PhD in Economics from the Catholic University of Brasília (2021). She studied at Barcelona School of Economics, as a visiting student (PhD level), sponsored by CAPES (2020). She has a master's degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Brasília (2016), and a bachelor’s degree in Economic Sciences from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2014). Mrs. Marques has experience in merger reviews, analysis of evidence and the effects of anticompetitive conduct, and competition advocacy. She has conducted studies on ex-post assessment of merger remedies, and prepared guidelines of CADE, such as the Guide for Submitting Data to the Department of Economic Studies and the Guide for Cartel Penalties.
