International competition event welcomes article submissions

The Revista de Defesa da Concorrência (RDC), in partnership with the Research Group in Law, Economics and Competition of the Institute of Economics – Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (GDEC/IE/UFRJ) and the Competition and Regulation European Summer School and Conference (CRESSE), will hold the IV Rio International Workshop on Advances in Competition Policy Analysis.

The event takes place on 30 November and 1 December, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, and the call for article submissions is open until 23 August. The workshop features CADE Commissioner and RDC Editor-in-Chief Camila Cabral Pires Alves. Building on previous editions, it also strengthens the RDC by fostering closer ties between scholars and antitrust professionals.

RDC is an open-access journal edited by CADE and recognised as one of Brazil's leading legal journals for the publication of articles related to competition law, covering a range of topics based on a transparent and ethical editorial process.

In turn, GDEC is a research group focused on competition, law, economics, and regulation at the Institute of Economics at the UFRJ, which is recognised as one of Brazil’s main centres for economic research, with a prominent postgraduate programme in economics. As for CRESSE, it is an international network of academics and professionals working at competition or regulatory authorities, consulting firms and law firms, with an interest in competition policy and sectoral regulation. In addition to its annual conference and Lawyers Week, CRESSE has organised and supported similar events in several countries since 2006.
