DEE holds seminar on Brazilian and international market of essential patents
On 25 September, at 2:30 PM (local time), the Department of Economic Studies (DEE) of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) will hold a new edition of the seminar Economics & Competition Defence, on the topic "Overview of the Brazilian and International Regulations on Essential Patents". The event can be attended in-person or online, via Zoom, and it is open to the public.
The initiative aims to deepen understanding of Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) based on a study published by the agency in August. The topics to be discussed include the licensing and regulation of SEPs in different jurisdictions, as well as impacts on high-tech and innovation markets. The seminar will also gather representatives from the Brazilian Intellectual Property Strategy (ENPI).
