CADE to host the ICN Annual Conference in 2024

On 18 January 2023, during a board meeting of the International Competition Network (ICN), the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) was chosen to host the ICN Annual Conference in 2024.

The conference will gather competition authorities and international NGAs (non-governmental advisors) to discuss recent competition defence matters related to cartels, mergers and acquisitions, unilateral conducts, advocacy, and the effectiveness of competition agencies, and present the results of projects carried out by the ICN working groups.

The authority hosted the ICN’s annual conference in Rio de Janeiro in 2012. Therefore, this will be another opportunity for CADE to take on a leadership role in the international antitrust scene.
