CADE releases Working Paper on DEE’s 15 years anniversary
On 10 December, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) released a new Working Paper to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Department of Economic Studies (DEE). The paper updates and expands analyses released from 2020 to 2022, gathering the department’s main activities, milestones, and transformations achieved until the end of 2024.
In addition, the study highlights the unit’s progress in consolidating economic analysis of CADE's activities, and implementing competition policy in Brazil. The document also presents ongoing studies and projects, reinforcing CADE’s commitment to transparency, quality technical production, and accountable to civil society.
According to Lílian Marques, Chief-Economist at CADE, the publication is a way of recognising the commitment of the entire DEE team. “This Working Paper celebrates the 15 years of work, reinforcing our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement in the elaboration of high-quality technical notes to support CADE's decisions and competition enforcement.”
To create this document, a broader research was conducted through all the DEE's technical opinions, Cadernos do Cade, Working Papers, as well as CADE’s Contributions and Guidelines.
With this issue, the agency reinforces the relevance of the DEE in promoting an evidence-based competition policy, guided by the best economic and institutional practices.
