CADE releases new tool on SEI platform
On 12 November, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) released the PUSH notification tool by CNAE, the Brazilian classification of economic activities. The new feature is part of the Electronic Information System (SEI). This initiative improves transparency and access to information, allowing users to receive automatic email notifications on the progress of public proceedings linked to economic sectors defined by the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE).
Using the new feature, it is possible to monitor proceedings related to mergers and anticompetitive conducts by sector, avoiding constant access of the platform or visiting CADE in person. The PUSH notification tool by CNAE adds to another PUSH by case, already available on SEI, which allows individual cases to be tracked using their case numbers.
According to Mr Gustavo Augusto, president of CADE, “This initiative is another achievement of our digital transformation plan, which seeks to make CADE's work more transparent, accessible, and connected to citizens. The feature facilitates the monitoring of relevant topics for each economic sector, and reinforces the agency's commitment to innovation and efficiency," he stated.
To access the tool, users must log into the SEI platform via CADE's portal, in the external user interface, accept the terms of use for the PUSH module, and choose between two types of filters: "Detailed”, which allows users to select sections, divisions, groups, and subclasses of the CNAE, or "Free Search" to directly enter the name or code of the desired sector. After the registration, the system sends a daily email with procedural developments on the chosen economic segment.
Digital transformation at CADE
The creation of the PUSH notification tool by CNAE is part of CADE's digital transformation plan, which aims to modernise internal procedures, improve digital services, and increase the transparency of the agency's activities.
The development of the Business Intelligence (BI) panel of the “Circuito Deliberativo Virtual” system, which allows the monitoring of decisions made by the Tribunal of CADE, as well as the acquisition of new firewall equipment to strengthen the security of the agency's IT systems, are among the objectives already achieved under the digital transformation plan.
Another important achievement was the launch of the third version of the Case Law Search Tool, which included advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence features, enabling automatic document indexing. In addition, the tool offers periodic scheduling managed by CADE's procedural operation, especially focused on updating or adding new documents for consultation, reinforcing the agency's commitment to the continuous improvement of its digital public services.
