CADE releases new edition of InovaCade
On 12 December, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) released the digital journal InovaCade, a biennial contest that recognises innovative projects developed by the agency's civil servants. The publication provides its award history, presents submitted proposals, and includes interviews with the teams behind the three winning projects.
Launched in 2020, InovaCade aims to encourage creativity, collaboration, as well as modernisation of work processes, reinforcing the importance of innovation in improving services provided to the public. The initiatives demonstrate that innovation goes beyond the use of new technologies, it also involves simplifying routines, optimising resources, and strengthening integration among areas.
For Bruna Cardoso, Head of the Management Office at CADE, innovation should be understood as an essential part of institutional performance. "Innovating does not simply mean adopting new tools but finding ways to optimise procedures and expand internal cooperation. InovaCade is an invitation to reconsider public administration, where minor improvements can lead to significant results," she stated.
Mrs Cardoso also points out that the contest is a space for continuous learning. "Each proposal reflects creativity, dedication, and courage to promote real changes. InovaCade reinforces the agency's commitment to innovation, transparency, as well as a more efficient and accessible public service to society. The journal gives visibility to this collective effort and inspires new advances," she concluded.
In addition to recording the presented solutions, the publication seeks to strengthen a permanent culture of innovation within CADE, promoting the adoption of best practices in the public sector. The material is now available for consultation (in Portuguese only).
