CADE publishes Report on Data Remedies for digital markets

The document “Report on Data Remedies”, developed by Nicolo Zingales, consultant at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), under the supervision of Marcus Vinícius, Coordinator of the Antitrust Analysis Unit 11 (CGAA 11) at CADE, aims to provide analytical and practical support for the design, implementation, and monitoring of compliance with data-remedies in digital markets, particularly in data-driven digital markets.

Furthermore, the study discusses the experiences of foreign competition authorities, including agencies with exclusive jurisdiction over competition matters, as well as those responsible for issues related to personal data protection.

In cases of concurrent jurisdiction, the report also reviews the institutional cooperation mechanisms adopted by authorities to address topics within areas where competition and data protection clearly overlap, to identify challenges, solutions, and best practices from different jurisdictions.
