CADE promotes Economics & Competition Policy Seminar: Smart Agent-Based Modelling with LLMs
On 9 July, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) will host the seminar “Economics & Competition Policy: Smart Agent-Based Modelling with LLMs”, held by the Department of Economic Studies (DEE).
At the event, Mr Carlos Neves and Ms Tanise Bussman, CADE's civil servants, will present their article published by the Stanford Computational Antitrust Project, which shows that agents moved by LLMs can drift into tacit collusion in a Bertrand duopoly, even without explicit instructions.
The seminar aims to promote discussions among experts and academics of different fields of expertise related to competition policy and economic regulation. In addition, it contributes to the institutional improvement and dissemination of antitrust policy, especially on competition advocacy matters.
Applications are open until 8 July, at 6:00 PM (local time), to both internal and external participants. Register now!
