CADE implements new Strategic Plan values
CADE's new Strategic Plan for 2025-2028 was carefully planned based on the mission, vision, and values needed to strengthen the agency as an essential body for protecting free competition in the Brazilian market.
In order to effectively achieve these and other goals, six ethical pillars were established to guide CADE's actions and shape its organisational culture. These pillars include: excellence, independence, innovation, diversity, integrity, and transparency.
Mr Alexandre Kalil, civil servant of the Planning and Projects Division (DIPLAN) of CADE, highlights that the pillar of “independence” has been respected since the first strategic plan and reflects the votes of the Administrative Tribunal’s members. “This model allows for adjudicating cases from different perspectives, creating a collective understanding, which reflects the vision of an informed and interested society,” he pointed out.
Furthermore, “diversity” is a new value, included with the aim of enriching debates and broadening perspectives. For Commissioner Camila Alves, “Incorporating diversity as a value in our Strategic Plan represents the first step of a long journey towards building a strong, fair, inclusive, and innovative institution,” she emphasised.
All these principles enhance the culture of competition among companies and consumers, strengthen institutional governance, and modernise processes. The new phase focuses on preventive and educational measures to continue boosting the Brazilian competitive environment.
