CADE hosts seminar on betting market
On 30 October, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) is to host the seminar “Betting Market: Challenges and Competitive Prospects”, which will be held at CADE, at 2:30 PM (local time), and livestreamed at the agency’s YouTube channel.
The event will gather representatives from CADE and the Federal Government, as well as public authorities and experts, to debate the betting supply chain, challenges of the federative arrangement in defining the relevant geographic market, in addition to the particularities of competition between physical and virtual lottery products.

1st Panel - Betting ecosystem: links in the supply chain and definition of the relevant market
The debate will address the competitive dynamics of the betting sector, considering not only operators but also agents such as software developers, payment methods, and other links in the supply chain.
2nd Panel - Competition and federative arrangement: challenges in defining the relevant geographic market
The panel will debate the territorial limits of economic activity and its relationship with the federative arrangement, in light of the actions of municipal, state, and federal lotteries.
3rd Panel - Competition in the lottery market: competitive and regulatory aspects
The discussion will deepen the differences between competition models in physical and virtual lottery products, analysing their competitive and regulatory implications.
