CADE extends time limit to file a defence due to state of emergency in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) may grant extension of time limits to file defences in administrative proceedings due to the state of emergency in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul following heavy rains and flooding.
On 9 May, the Office of the Superintendent-General of CADE granted the first decision after a request from defendants headquartered in the region.
The time limit to file a defence is suspended for 15 calendar days, starting from the first working day after the end of the term. Further details on the Interlocutory Order are available here.
