CADE and MPT sign technical cooperation agreement
On 22 July, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) signed a technical cooperation agreement with the Labour Prosecution Services (MPT) to intensify the repression of anticompetitive practices that also affect the legal labour order.
The partnership establishes mechanisms to exchange information and documents obtained during investigations, as well as joint development of investigation techniques and methodologies. In addition, technical workshops will be held with a focus on cartel practices involving labour fraud, such as the misuse of contractual models to circumvent legislation.
The cooperation includes joint actions, such as local operations and training courses between the institutions. The technical cooperation agreement, with nationwide coverage, is valid for five years.
For CADE, the cooperation with the MPT increases investigative capacity and enables more effective responses to companies violating both economy and workers' rights.
The agreement reinforces the commitment from both institutions to defend public interest, competition, and labour rights, as well as promote greater effectiveness in investigating complex and systemic violations.
