CADE achieves high level of public integrity in CGU’s assessment
The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) participated in the Self-Assessment on Public Integrity, conducted between June and August 2024 by the Office of the Comptroller General of Brazil (CGU), based on the Public Integrity Maturity Model (MMIP).
The agency scored 2.78 points out of three, achieving the highest score in Management and Performance, and 90% compliance in Governance and Organisational Structure, reflecting a high level of maturity in public integrity.
The CGU's assessments aim to diagnose the level of commitment and effectiveness of public institutions in preventing corruption, as well as promoting an ethical and transparent culture.
In practice, it reflects CADE's focus on managing public resources responsibly and providing quality services, which translates into greater transparency, ethics, and commitment to citizens.
Bruna Cardoso, director of the Management Office at CADE, mentions that "this achievement is the product of each civil servant and employee’s work, and of our commitment to a fair and efficient public service. Integrity and transparency are institutional values that guide our actions and strengthen society's trust. We will continue working to ensure quality services accessible to all."
The result reveals the authority’s consistent progress in strengthening structures and practices aimed at public integrity, with emphasis on monitoring the integrity programme, leadership performance, and the application of corporate tools in its autonomous bodies.
