Security for investors

The Manaus Free Trade Zone has its prerogatives guaranteed by the the Brazilian Federal Constitution, the main legal framework of Brazil. Due to its various contributions to the development of the Amazon region over the last few decades, it has also achieved the status of a strategic government project, which grants it unconditional support from the Federal Government.
On August 5, 2014, Constitutional Amendment No. 83/2014 was enacted, extending the validity period of the benefits of the Manaus Free Trade Zone for another 50 years, until December 31, 2073. In the same year, the extension of the incentive period for all Free Trade Areas (FTAs) within the scope of SUFRAMA until December 31, 2050, was also approved.
These measures provide the necessary legal security for medium and long-term investments in the region.
