Academia and Society Interaction
The Institute for Research in International Relations (IPRI) of FUNAG works to broaden and deepen channels of dialogue between diplomacy and academia on topics of interest to Brazilian foreign policy. To this end, it maintains communication with undergraduate and graduate departments of International Relations, as well as with international relations offices of Brazilian universities. For this purpose, IPRI seeks to keep updated information on departments and directors of International Relations programs, based on the institutions listed in the National Registry of Higher Education Courses and Institutions and the Sucupira Platform.
This information is essential for identifying needs for closer engagement, strengthening ties, and creating opportunities for the development of joint projects. Dialogue with the academic community in the field of International Relations is guided by the understanding that building knowledge based on diverse perspectives strengthens critical opinion on foreign policy issues.
