Agreement signed between INPE and MDPI publishing house

Library Division (DIBIB) discloses the agreement signed between INPE and MDPI, a publishing house of peer reviewed open access scientific periodicals.

MDPI offers to the partner institutions the participation in the Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP), which provides transparency in the submission process of the MDPI, access to an exclusive environment of institutional panel and a discount in the Article Processing Charges (APC) for affiliated researchers.

As a partner, INPE benefits with a discount of 25% in the APCs that are paid centrally (i.e., with institutional resources) or 10% in the APCs that are paid with resources of projects and scholarships.

To use this benefit, the authors must use the institutional email (inpe.br) while making an article submission and indicate INPE as partner institution to the IOAP program. The submission platform will present orientations to the verification of payment with institutional resources or to the payment with resources of scholarships and projects.
