Historic of Cadernos de Política Exterior

The first edition of Cadernos de Política Exterior, in 2015, resumed a project that began in the 1980s with the much-missed Cadernos do IPRI, published between 1988 and 1994, which are available for free download in the Digital Library of the Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation (FUNAG).

Between 2015 and 2023, the journal published articles by diplomats and specialists based on invitations and internal calls within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or in the context of the authors’ participation in the Advanced Studies Course (CAE), held periodically by the Rio Branco Institute as an integral part of the training and qualification system for the Diplomatic Career.

In 2024, FUNAG Ordinance No. 83, of July 19, is published, approving the regulations of the Cadernos de Política Exterior of the International Relations Research Institute (IPRI).
