The book Não Só de Pão Vive o Homem: Relações Brasil-Santa Sé entre 1875 e 1905 [Man Does Not Live by Bread Alone: Brazil-The Holy See Relations between 1875 and 1905] is the latest release from FUNAG.

The work, by historian and professor Pedro Henrique Soares Santos, analyses diplomatic relations between Brazil and the Holy See at the end of the 19th century, covering the Empire and the early years of the Republic. The author demonstrates that, although this relationship developed in the international arena, its main concerns were related to inernal issues in Brazil.

The publication is available free of charge from FUNAG's digital library. The printed version can be purchased from the official online store.
