FUNAG publishes work on documents for the diplomatic history of the 1817 Revolt

Bicentennial Collection – As a complement to the book A Revolução de 1817 e a História do Brasil: Um estudo de história diplomática [The 1817 Revolt and Brazil’s History: a study of diplomatic history], the Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation has launched Documentos para a história diplomática da Revolução de 1817 [Documents for the diplomatic history of the 1817 Revolt].

The publication, organized by Ambassador Gonçalo de Mello Mourão, gathers documents on the 1817 Revolt present in the Historical Archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Rio de Janeiro, and comments on the meaning of these records for Brazilian history and diplomacy.
