The Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation has launched the book "Nationalism in Brazilian literature: a collection of texts for the Bicentenary of Independence (1822-2022)".

Organised by Professor Alexandre Pilati, the work brings together texts that represent literary formulations of the country's nationalism at seven different moments in Brazilian history.

The book is the result of the mini-course “200 years of literary nationalism in Brazil”, held in 2022 as an initiative of the Embassy in Helsinki in partnership with embassies and consulates in Asunción, Barcelona, Guangzhou, Madrid, Maputo, São José, Santiago, Seoul, Tokyo and Warsaw.

The book is available in Portuguese on FUNAG’s digital library. The printed version is available at the Online Store.
