FUNAG has just published the book “As relações Brasil-Estados Unidos no século XXI” [Brazil–United States Relations in the 21st Century], edited by Lia Valls Pereira and Monica Hirst.
The book analyzes Brazil–U.S. relations from 2003 to 2023, highlighting political distancing, the decline of the FTAA, China’s rise as Brazil’s main trading partner, and the impact of changes in U.S. foreign policy after 2001. The book aims to reflect on how these factors have shaped convergences and divergences between the two countries during this period. The publication is available for free download in FUNAG’s digital library.
