The volume of services provided in Brazil has the third consecutive positive results from June to July, 2022

The volume of services provided in Brazil grew 1.1% from June to July 2022, the third consecutive positive result in the period in which it accumulates a gain of 2.4%. With these impressive results, the sector is 8.9% above the pre-pandemic level and 1.8% below the highest level.

The transport sector grew 3.9% in the last three months, mainly due to the management of ports and terminals, related to the flow of agricultural crops, and the good results of highway concessions. Cargo transport has grown 1,2% in July; 19.7% since October last year.

Cargo transport reached record levels, and passenger transport has also largely improved with the resumption of tourism, both with results above the pre-pandemic level. The information and communication sector, increased in July - a trend since the pandemic period.

Services provided to families increased for the fifth consecutive month, up 9.7% in 2022 - but still 5.7% below the level of February 2020. In the July holiday season, the highlights of this sector were hotels, restaurants, and services related to tourism and air transportation.
