Subway in Belo Horizonte will be privatized

The Brazilian government received authorization to privatize the subway in the city of Belo Horizonte, in the state of Minas Gerais. The project will result in the construction of new lines and modernization of the existing ones.

Since 2019, 153 auctions have been held within the Brazilian government's PPI - Investment Partnerships Program. More than R$ 180 billion was raised and R$ 1.3 trillion was committed for investments in Brazil.

According to the Investment Monitor of the Ministry of Economy, if the already structured projects are executed, R$ 2.9 trillion in investments should be attracted in the decade. In R$ 2023, R$ 230 billion should be invested.
