Brazil voted in favor of the resolution “Humanitarian consequences of the aggression against Ukraine”

Today, Brazil voted in favor of the resolution “Humanitarian consequences of the aggression against Ukraine”, at the UN General Assembly’s 11th Emergency Special Session. The resolution has been adopted with 140 votes in favour, five against and 38 abstentions.
The resolution, drafted by Ukraine and 90 sponsors, demands humanitarian access to Ukraine and a halt to attacks on civilians, medical personnel, civilian buildings and infrastructure. Brazil recalled that humanitarian law should unite, instead of divide @UN member states.
