Brazil and China strengthen cooperation in land infrastructure during event in São Paulo
The Agency presented on Wednesday (August 13th), in São Paulo, its regulatory model for highway and railway concessions to Chinese business leaders, reinforcing bilateral cooperation and the exchange of best practices in land infrastructure. The event was organized by the Brazilian Association of Chinese Companies.
ANTT Director Felipe Queiroz highlighted the Agency’s projects and regulatory progress, underscoring the maturity of federal concession management and the pursuit of transparency, efficiency, and safety, while also creating opportunities for investment and international collaboration.
The event brought together authorities and business leaders, including the Counselor of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in São Paulo, Bai Chunhui; the President of the Brazilian Association of Chinese Companies, Zhang Guanghua; and the Secretary-General of ABEC, Li Dongcheng. Also present were ANTT’s General Coordinator for International Relations, Cálicles Mânica, and the Chief of the Special Office for Institutional, International, and Communication Affairs, Allan Milagres, highlighting the Agency’s strategic role in international relations.
In ANTT’s panel, Felipe Queiroz emphasized the importance of international cooperation and dialogue with the private sector. Then, Elisa Guedes, Chief of Staff of the Infrastructure Concessions Department, detailed the regulatory model for federal concessions, explaining how the Agency balances private investment with public interest.
“This meeting shows that our work goes beyond domestic regulation. We are building bridges with international partners, exchanging experiences, and creating tangible opportunities for sector development,” said the director.
The event reinforces ANTT’s strategic role in the modern management of land infrastructure, promoting safety, efficiency, and predictability, and consolidating Brazil as a reliable partner in land transport projects on the global stage.
