U.S. expands market for Brazilian agricultural exports

The Brazilian government welcomes the United States' decision to authorize imports of alfalfa hay, timothy hay, yerba mate, and dried clove flower without requiring a phytosanitary certificate.

This approval highlights the global trust in Brazil’s sanitary and phytosanitary standards.

In 2024, Brazil reinforced its position as a leading agricultural exporter to the U.S., with beef, coffee, and orange juice among its top exports. The expanded market access is expected to further drive Brazilian exports in these sectors.

With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has now secured seven new market access opportunities in 2025, totaling 307 new trade openings across 63 destinations since early 2023.

This achievement results from the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
