Suriname grants market access to Brazilian livestock and meat products
Surinamese health authorities have approved the import of various Brazilian livestock and meat products, including live cattle for slaughter, dairy cattle, breeding cattle, beef and beef products, and poultry meat and poultry products.
This approval underscores the strong international confidence in Brazil’s sanitary control system and is expected to enhance trade relations with Suriname.
In 2024, Brazil exported USD 28.5 million in agricultural goods to Suriname, a figure poised to grow with this expanded market access.
With this latest authorization, Brazilian agribusiness has secured 25 new agricultural markets in 2025, bringing the total to 325 new trade opportunities since early 2023.
These market access achievements result from collaborative efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reinforcing Brazil’s commitment to global trade expansion.
