Market access in the Philippines for Brazilian pork products

The Brazilian government is pleased to announce the approval for exporting frozen pork mesentery and jowl—essential ingredients for producing sausages and processed foods—to the Philippine market under the existing International Sanitary Certificate.

This year, the Philippines has emerged as the largest market for Brazilian pork. The latest market opening introduces highly sought-after products in Asian markets to the trade between the two nations, enhancing mutual trust and boosting Brazil’s export volumes.

In addition to this new authorization, three other markets have been accessed in the Philippines this year: tilapia fingerlings, animal recycling products, and ornamental fish.

With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved access to 205 new markets in 2024, totaling 283 opportunities across 62 countries since the start of 2023.

This achievement results from the coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aimed at expanding the global presence of Brazilian agribusiness.
