Brazil and Peru have successfully concluded negotiations allowing the export of “azuki” beans (Vigna angularis) and “caupi” beans (Vigna unguiculata) from Brazil to the Peruvian market.
In 2024, Brazil exported over USD 755 million in agricultural products to Peru. Key exports included forest products, poultry, cereals, soybean oil, and coffee.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness celebrates its 47th and 48th new market openings in 2025, totaling 348 new business opportunities since the beginning of 2023.
These achievements are the result of collaborative efforts between Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
