Market access in Egypt for Brazilian agricultural products

The Brazilian government welcomes Egypt’s acceptance of a new sanitary certificate model for beef, which now also authorizes the export of buffalo meat and offal from Brazil.

This expanded market access strengthens trade ties with Egypt, currently the ninth-largest destination for Brazilian agricultural exports in 2024. Between January and October of this year, Egypt imported over USD 2.59 billion in agricultural products from Brazil.

With this development, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved 208 new market accesses in 2024, bringing the total to 286 opportunities across 62 countries since the start of 2023.

These accomplishments reflect the coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
